Cherry Cheesecake Recipe

This classic cherry cheesecake is a delightful dessert with a creamy filling and a sweet cherry topping.

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 3 packs cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl and press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Blend in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until the center is slightly set. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for 4 hours.
  • Top with cherry pie filling before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the cheesecake to chill overnight before serving.
