CHERRY BARS

Delicious and easy cherry bars perfect for any occasion.

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla, then gradually add flour and mix well.
  • Press two-thirds of dough into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Spread cherry pie filling over the dough.
  • Crumble the remaining dough over the cherry layer.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Let the cherry bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
