Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
Whisk in the milk, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
Layer sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour the sauce over the potatoes and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
