Cheesy Rice – Creamy, Flavorful, and Perfectly Cheesy

This Cheesy Rice recipe is a simple yet delicious dish that combines creamy cheese with perfectly cooked rice for a quick side dish option.

  • 1.5 cups white rice uncooked
  • 3 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the rice and salt, then cover and reduce the heat to low.
  • Cook the rice for about 18-20 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
  • Remove from heat, add butter and shredded cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the rice is creamy.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of garlic powder or paprika.
