A quick and delicious cheesy rice recipe that's perfect as a side dish or a simple meal.

  • 2 cups Cooked White Rice
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add cooked rice, milk, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the cheesy rice mixture into a small baking dish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  • Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This cheesy rice is a fantastic comfort food. You can add a pinch of garlic powder for extra flavor.
