  • 3 lbs Russet potatoes
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel and slice potatoes thinly.
  • Boil potatoes until tender. Drain well.
  • In a large bowl, mash potatoes with butter, milk, cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, add some chopped green onions or bacon bits.
