Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and mix until well combined.
Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
Arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
