Caramel Apple Tarts

Delicious caramel apple tarts with a golden crust and rich caramel flavor. Perfect for a fall dessert!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press the mixture into tart pans.
  • In a separate bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, and caramel sauce. Mix well.
  • Spoon apple mixture into prepared tart shells.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are tender.

Notes

For best results, use a variety of apples that are good for baking such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
