  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place sweet potatoes in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, blend brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour mixture over the sweet potatoes and toss to coat evenly.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil, stir the potatoes and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until tender.
