Cabbage Ground Beef

A hearty and flavorful dish combining ground beef and tender cabbage, perfect for a weeknight meal.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 0.5 head Cabbage shredded
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  • Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir to combine with the beef and onions.
  • Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  • Stir occasionally and add a little more broth if it seems too dry.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

This dish can be served on its own or over rice. Leftovers reheat well.
