A delightful buttermilk doughnut bar, glazed to perfection.

Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Roll dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut into bars.
Fry bars for 2-3 minutes each side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Notes
Serve warm with your choice of glaze or icing.
