Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add the butter and cut into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the buttermilk just until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead 3-4 times.
Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For extra flaky biscuits, fold the dough over on itself a few times before cutting.
