Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, mix the milk, butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For an extra lemony flavor, add more lemon zest to the glaze.
