Beer Battered Fish

Crispy beer-battered fish fillets, perfect for a Friday night dinner!

  • 1 lb Cod fillets
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Beer
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Gradually whisk in the beer until a smooth batter forms.
  • Dip each cod fillet into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as tartar sauce, lemon wedges, and french fries.
