  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Diced onion
  • 1 15 oz Can of tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 8 oz Spaghetti
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add the onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, water, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions, or until tender.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and Italian sausage. You can also add other vegetables, such as mushrooms or bell peppers.
