Preparation Steps
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the rice, diced tomatoes, and salt. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.
