  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Uncooked Rice
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt

Preparation Steps

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the rice, diced tomatoes, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through.

Notes

Serve hot. Optional toppings include cheese, sour cream, or avocado.
