Bean Dip

A creamy, flavorful bean dip made with canned beans, taco seasoning, and sour cream. Perfect for parties or as a quick appetizer.

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons homemade
  • 0.25 cup salsa mild or medium
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • 1 clove garlic minced, optional
  • 1 lime juice optional

Preparation Steps

  • In a food processor or blender, combine the drained black beans, sour cream, taco seasoning, salsa, cilantro, garlic, and lime juice (if using).
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled with tortilla chips, vegetables, or as a topping for nachos.
