  • 2 cups kidney beans canned, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes canned
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in the chili powder and cumin, cooking for an additional minute.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and kidney beans, and bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
