Baked Turkey Wings

Tender, flavorful baked turkey wings seasoned with herbs and spices, perfect as a hearty main dish.

  • 4 lbs turkey wings, split at joints
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pat turkey wings dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Rub turkey wings with olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mixture.
  • Place turkey wings in a large baking dish. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the dish.
  • Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until skin is crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
