Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute until lightly golden.
Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
Combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer macaroni and cheese to a baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
You can add breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch before baking.
