Apple bread

A delicious and moist apple bread, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 2.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cup peeled and diced apples e.g. Gala or Fuji

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in vegetable oil and milk until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This apple bread is best served at room temperature. It can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
