Ingredients

For the Party Bites:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground pork sausage
  • 1 (8 oz / 225g) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tubes (16 oz / 450g each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional Toppings:

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. Cook the Sausage:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the Filling:
    In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Assemble the Bites:
    Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place a small spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wider end of each triangle. Roll the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end and tucking the edges to seal.
  5. Bake the Party Bites:
    Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley or red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
