Easy to make and impossible to resist, these cookies will quickly become a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (100g) powdered sugar (for rolling)

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Shape the Cookies:
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Bake:
Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the tops are set.
  6. Cool:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Serve:
Dust with extra powdered sugar if desired and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store these cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Cinnamon Variation: For extra cinnamon flavor, mix a teaspoon of ground cinnamon into the powdered sugar for rolling.
  • Cream Cheese Tip: Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth, lump-free dough.
  • Add-Ins: Consider mixing in mini chocolate chips or chopped pecans for added texture and flavor.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies are the perfect combination of soft, sweet, and spiced—a deliciously simple treat for any time of year!
